How to Know Your Status with Allah

Have you ever paused and wondered about your standing with Allah? It is a question that occupies the heart of every believer. Does Allah love me?

Many people believe that knowing the answer to this is impossible or deeply complex. However, in a reminder, Dr. Abdurahman Al-Omaisan shares a beautifully simple rule to help you instantly measure your position and rank with the Almighty.

Look at Allah's status in your heart.
If you want to know your status and place with Allah, you don't need to look far. Look at Allah’s status within your own life.
Dr. Al-Omaisan explains that your value to Allah is a direct reflection of how much you value His commands and prohibitions. Ask yourself.
Do you hold Allah's commands in high regard?
Do you respect and actively avoid the things He has forbidden?
If you glorify Allah’s laws and strive to live by them, then you hold a great and noble status in the sight of Allah. Your commitment to Him is the ultimate indicator of Allah's love and favor
towards you.

Our obedience in responding to Allah in this life directly determines our ease in the next. The fastest people to cross the Sirat (the bridge over Hell) on the Day of Judgment will be those who were the quickest to respond to Allah's commands in this world. Every time you prioritize a prayer, give charity or halt a bad habit quickly for the sake of Allah, you are essentially smoothing your path into Paradise.

The believer should understand the difference between seeking the approval of the Creator versus the creation.
Seeking the approval of people is an impossible goal. You can never make everyone happy, trying to please one person often makes another angry. It is an endless, exhausting cycle. Seeking the pleasure of Allah is a goal that can absolutely be achieved. Allah has not hidden the path to His pleasure. It is not a puzzle. In fact, Dr. Al-Omaisan emphasizes that it is clearer than the midday sun.
Allah has openly laid out the blueprint for success, He tells us exactly what to do and what to avoid. When you focus entirely on fulfilling His commands, you find true peace and He takes care of the rest.

Check your attitude toward your daily prayers and actions. Are they a priority or an afterthought? Be quick to obey, cultivate the habit of immediate obedience when it comes to Islamic duties. Don't delay good deeds. Stop stressing over the shifting judgments of people. Focus that energy into securing the permanent pleasure of your Creator. Knowing your status with Allah is notdifficult. It is as clear as looking into a mirror, the more you honor Allah in your daily choices, the more Allah honors you.
