Differences among people are part of Allah’s wisdom and decree. Allah says that if He had willed, He could have made mankind one nation, but He did not. Why? Because life is a test.
Division exposes sincerity.
Division separates the truthful from the followers of desires.
Division reveals who clings to revelation and who clings to personalities. Throughout history, the followers of the prophets were always fewer than the majority. Truth has never been measured by numbers.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ clearly warned that this Ummah would split into sects. He did not say division might happen, he said it will happen, but he also gave the solution. When asked who will be saved, he described them as those who follow what he and his companions were upon. This is strength. Not emotions. Not trends. Not political loyalty, but adherence to the original guidance.
The Prophet ﷺ commanded us to hold firmly to the Sunnah and the guidance of the rightly guided caliphs and to bite onto it with your molar teeth. Why molar teeth? Because molars grip tightly. They do not let go easily. This metaphor teaches intensity, strength, and refusal to compromise. In times of confusion hold firm, learn more, stay patient and do not be shaken. Truth does not bend to fit the crowd. The real danger in division is following desires, leaving knowledge, abandoning truthful scholars and prioritizing culture over revelation. When people move away from authentic knowledge, division becomes chaotic and destructive, but when believers stay grounded in Quran and Sunnah, even differences are handled with justice and mercy.
Stay firm in seeking authentic knowledge from reliable scholars. Stick to the main body of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah, not corrupt ideologies. Control your tongue many divisions are fueled by reckless speech. Make dua for steadfastness, the hearts are between the fingers of Allah meaning only Allah can guide to the truth. Focus on reforming yourself first and staying upon the truth takes steady work and patience. So do not be shocked when you see division. It was foretold. It is part of the purification of this Ummah.
What matters is when confusion spreads, when chaos get louder, when groups multiply. Will you stand with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ?
Cling to it.
Hold it.
Bite onto it with your molar teeth, because in times of division, firmness upon truth is the greatest victory.
